Geek Squad City Gets a Makeover Ride:
West Coast Customs Delivers the Ultimate Geekmobile
JEFFERSONVILLE, IN – Despite a steady downpour, excitement surged through the campus of Geek Squad City on Friday, December 7, as agents gathered to witness the arrival of their newest technological trophy—a fully customized Geekmobile, crafted by the legendary team at West Coast Customs.
The sleek, tricked-out vehicle turned heads the moment it rolled into view, escorted by a roaring “swarm” of Geekmobiles and greeted with cheers from employees braving the winter rains to welcome their new pride and joy.
Leading the delivery was Ryan Friedlinghaus, founder and CEO of West Coast Customs, who personally accompanied the vehicle to its new home. His presence marked a highlight for many, as Friedlinghaus is known globally for turning everyday cars into rolling works of art and innovation. This partnership between Geek Squad and West Coast Customs marks a fusion of tech support and custom auto design—two seemingly different worlds united by a shared passion for precision, creativity, and bold brand identity.
“It’s not just a car—it’s a symbol of who we are,” said one agent on-site. “This Geekmobile represents everything Geek Squad stands for: ingenuity, innovation, and a bit progressive.”
The custom vehicle features high-tech upgrades, sleek finishes, and design elements that elevate the classic Geekmobile into a next-generation flagship—designed not just for function, but to inspire and excite.
Adding to the buzz, Best Buy’s TAG TV was on-site, capturing every moment of the event. The arrival of the new Geekmobile will be spotlighted in an upcoming episode of Inside West Coast Customs, airing in early January on Discovery’s Velocity Channel. The episode promises behind-the-scenes access to the build process, showcasing the design evolution from concept to road-ready machine.
Even as rain soaked the pavement, spirits remained high, and the energy throughout Geek Squad City was electric—a clear sign that this new addition isn’t just a vehicle; it’s a rolling ambassador of Geek Squad culture.
Stay tuned for the broadcast and get ready to see the Geekmobile like you’ve never seen it before.

Sterling Riggs Swaps Gigs with Geek Squad City in Hands-On Tech Challenge
WDRB Fox 41’s Sterling Riggs rolled up his sleeves at Geek Squad City as part of his popular segment Swapping Gigs With Sterling Riggs, where he dives into unique and unexpected jobs across the region. From suiting up as the UofL Cardinal to farming Christmas trees and even helping the U.S. Postal Service sort letters to Santa, Riggs isn’t afraid to step into someone else’s shoes—or, in this case, their static-free work mat.
On Tuesday, January 8, Sterling took on the role of a Geek Squad CIA (Counter Intelligence Agent) for a day. He was guided by tech expert Zachary Steele, who demonstrated how to repair a Lenovo laptop before handing over the tools and letting Sterling try his hand at replacing a motherboard and reassembling the device.
“Sterling did well for a first-timer,” Zack told The Transmission. “He didn’t mess anything up!”
Catch Sterling’s Geek Squad adventure on Swapping Gigs With Sterling Riggs, airing Monday, January 14 during WDRB in the Morning between 5:45–7:45 a.m., with additional airings throughout the day on WDRB News. You can also watch it online at WDRB Topics and Talkers.
